Factors affecting the performance of Ceramic foam filters
It has been proved by experiments that the main factors affecting the quenching temperature of ceramic foam filters are kiln top fire baffle, residual heat pressure, specifications of the ceramic foam filter, and quenching fan. The distribution of each temperature zone of the roller kiln for this experiment, including the preheating zone, the low-temperature firing zone, the high-temperature firing zone, the quenching zone, and the slow cooling zone, through the quenching temperature T1, the slow cooling zone temperature T2 and T3, the final cooling zone temperature T4, can well show the general trend of the foam ceramic cooling curve, reflecting the foam ceramic cooling rate. The position of the thermocouple for testing the quenching temperature is set in the middle of the quenching air duct, which can better reflect the change in the quenching temperature field.
With the continuous development of roller kiln technology, roller kilns are usually equipped with fire baffles and firewalls in the preheating zone, firing zone, and cooling zone to control the temperature balance of each temperature zone and reduce the kiln inside. With the same level of temperature difference, the fire baffle is adjustable, which is responsible for controlling the upper half of the kiln, and the firewall is not adjustable, which is responsible for controlling the lower half of the kiln. The fire baffle is extended into the kiln to adjust the temperature field, airflow field, and pressure field distribution of the kiln, so as to better satisfy the firing of ceramic products. The cooling zone is generally provided with one or two fire baffles. The alumina ceramic foam filters roller kiln used in this test is set at the junction of the high-temperature zone of the firing zone and the quenching zone of the cooling zone, the quenching zone of the cooling zone, and the slow cooling zone. An "in-line" fire baffle was installed. Among them, the function of setting a fire baffle at the junction of the high-temperature zone of the firing zone and the quench zone of the cooling zone is to prevent the high-temperature gas from entering the cooling zone and affect the firing effect of the high-temperature zone, and at the same time to avoid increasing energy consumption; the junction of the quench zone and the slow cooling zone of the cooling zone The function of setting the fire baffle is mainly to control the stability of the cooling system of the foamed ceramic products.
